1. Method and level of voluntary social insurance payment in 2023
According to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 87, Law on Social Insurance 2014, the voluntary social insurance payment rate is equal to 22% of the income chosen by the person. In particular, the monthly income as a basis for payment is as follows:
Minimum: Equal to the poverty standard for rural areas (1,500,000 VND/person/month)
Maximum: Equal to 20 times the base salary (equivalent to 29,800,000 VND/month).
Regarding the method of participating in voluntary social insurance as follows: Currently there are 6 methods of participating in online voluntary social insurance that people can choose:
Close monthly
Closed every 3 months
Pay every 6 months
Pay once every 12 months
Pay once for many years to come but not more than once every 5 years.
One-time payment for the remaining years for those who are old enough to receive pension, but the remaining payment period must not exceed 10 years.
In case the retirement age is reached but the missing social insurance payment period is more than 10 years, the participant continues to pay according to one of the 5 above methods until the remaining payment period is no more than 10 years, then he/she can pay 1 time for the following years. missing according to method 6.

Users log in to the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal with their personal social insurance account (2) or log in via the national public service (3). In case participants do not have a social insurance account/national public service account, they can make a new registration.

Step 2: Choose an online public service to register for online voluntary social insurance

After the user successfully logs in, in the "search" section, enter the exact name of the public service as follows: "voluntary social insurance payment"

Individuals participating in social insurance who pay voluntary social insurance online need to fill in other information required by the system such as:

Step 6: Receive notice of deadline for returning social insurance books.
